Ports are the key point in the long logistics chain which brings the Russian exporters to the global market. They play a crucial part in transfer of coal and mineral fertilizers. Experts believe that coal prices will rise in the nearest future. The reason for that lies both in buoyancy of the global economy and increased demand for inexpensive coal generation in African, Middle Eastern and Asia-Pacific countries. Accordingly, Russian export will grow as well.
It is scheduled to mine 420 million tons of coal in Russia in 2018, and about 200 out of them are planned to be exported by the country. Last year, 408.9 million tons of coal were produced which is 5.7% more than in 2016. According to the Federal Customs Service, export of Russian coal in 2017 reached 181.41 million tons. Moreover, export through the Far Eastern ports alone is planned to be increased by one third by 2020. This planning will be impossible without significant modernization of existing and construction of new marine terminals.

In its turn, development of mineral fertilizers production and construction of new terminal capacities will become one of the growth drivers for overseas sales of Russian non-resource products. Increase of export volumes to $250 billion by 2024 will be one of the key targets of the new Russian government. Chemical industry will contribute to this development greatly as estimated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, industry engagement in the target can make no less than $15 billion.

At the conference we will address the following issues:
  • Outlook for Russian export and specialized terminals development projects.
  • Environmental aspects of bulk terminals operation and engineering.
  • New technologies and reloading equipment.
  • Protection and repair of hydraulic structures.
You are kindly invited to discuss the indicated subjects. Suggestions on agenda contents are more than welcome.
  • Participation fee is EUR 450
